BTCC 2019 Predictions Thread
Hope 850Estate you don't mind me starting this, but it's been requested?
Last year's thread here - https://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=152598 So what are the predictions this year? 1) Collard will outscore Plato in the overall championship. 2) Team Dynamics will have the highest two Hondas in the championship, followed by BTC Racing. 3) One team will change cars during the season. 4) R30 will only see 25 cars take the grid. 5) The race winners will be the same 3 drivers at both Thruxton meetings. |

2. Tordoff will win at least 2 races. 3. Ingram won’t be on the podium until round 16 4. The third Oulton Park race will be delayed by heavy rain. 5. 3 driver swaps over the grid by the end of the season. |

1. Crees will fail to score any points.
2. Cammish will beat Neal by at least 5 places in the championship. 3. Chilton will win once. It will happen in a reverse grid race. 4. There will be at least one race where the cars of each of the top 10 finishers all belong to different teams. 5. The three races at Brands Indy and the three races at Knockhill will all be interrupted by the safety car but there will not be a red flag in any of them. |

Not a problem at all I kept meaning to start it, but things have been so crazy I haven't had a moment to have a right good think about my predictions.

Great that this game is on again!
1. Both Cammish and Neal will be in mathematical title contention coming into last round of the season. 2. BMW will win at least 5 races. 3. Goff won't score any podiums. 4. Both BTC drivers will be in the Top 10 of the championship. 5. AMD will underperform and will be the worst of three Honda outfits. |

2. Exceler8 drivers won't score more than a combined 10 points in the overall championship between them 3. AmD will win at least 3 races 4. Plato won't have the performance increase everyone is expecting after leaving BMR 5. Butcher will dominate Jack Sears trophy |

I'm entirely useless at this, and I hope I don't curse any of the drivers in Murray Walker style!
1) AmD will lose their win virginity and go on to collect several more. 2) Sonic, Camm, Tordoff, Neal, Plato, Cook, Turks, Tingram will arrive at Brands in the autumn with a mathematical chance of being champion. 3) Team #HARD will have more driver changes than JP has excuses. 4) Tingram will be flying, but will take too long to get airborne early season, thus preventing him bagging the Championship before Brands. Ditto Turks. 5) The worst performing drivers will be Crees, the Excelr8 duo and the other HARD driver I've already forgotten about (not Boardley or Goff both of whom will do well considering what they're driving). 6) Rumours of JP in a works Kia will appear in a 2020 speculation thread. |

1) Ingram will be champion
2) Plato / Collard score less than Cook / Proctor did last year (less than 416 total) 3) AmD score at least 3 wins 4) Hill gets a podium 5) Every driver scores at least 1 point (excluding any who do a one-off round) |

I think I've averaged 1 correct a season so which one will it be?
1. A single digit number of winners 2. One of these win after missing a round (or multiple). They might not even be at round 1. 3. Someone crashes at the same point in both Thruxton meetings (during the races) 4. Plato quits before the final round 5. 11 rounds announced for 2020 (ps I know that's not how statistics work) |

1. Every team with a Civic of any kind wins at least one race
2. Astras improve over the year but never win 3. Louise asks Mark Blundell how the Audi compares to an F1 car 4. Turkington wins championship despite few overall victories 5. More than 5 drivers with a mathematical chance of the title heading into Brands GP |

Don’t post much, more of a lurker but couldn’t resist having a go.
1) Brand new first time champion. 2) Jordan to be the best of the BMW squad. 3) Nic Hamilton will score 10+ points. 4) We won’t have 2 MGs on the grid come the final meeting. 5) BMW to win all 3 races at a scorching Croft. Croft will be a scorcher as I’ll be in attendance. |

Predictions:
Title :Jordan Independent: Tordoff Jack Sears: Butcher Exceler8 will not finish the season. Team Hard will drop Crees from Knockhill onwards and at least 1 other for the final round. AMD will dominate independent standings, Tordoff will win 2 races. PMR will disappoint Plato will go before the season is up. BMR will as usual be rubbish until Oulton, Proctor will run Sutton closer than people expect. Mike Bushell will replace someone before the season end. Driving standards will generally be better with less safety cars this year. A wildcard entry will be given at some stage this season. As a side there will be only 5 clios for brands GP Last edited by btccbloke; 31 Mar 2019 at 10:11. |

1) Blundell to pull out mid season citing poor driving standards.
2) Nic Hamilton to be more competitive than expected. Be running in the top 3 on a last lap only to be pressured into crashing out on his own. 3) Dan Lloyd to make a couple of mid season appearances. 4) Plato to take Ash Sutton out while fighting for the lead at least once. 5) Less than 10 winners throughout the season after 2 seasons of 15+. |

1 - Jordan to win the championship
2 - Ingram to win 2 races, but both after the summer break 3 - A fine 2 races will be red flagged this year 4 - Team HARD to have 2 drivers replaced during the course of the season 5 - Matt Neal will be leading the championship after the May Thruxton rounds And some for fun: 6 - Nobody in the TV broadcasts will mention that Nic Hamilton has a famous brother 7 - The Croft crowd will not be described as knowledgeable at any point during the TV broadcast 8 - Jason Plato will complain about RWD starts, and nobody will think to remember that he left a RWD team for a FWD one this season 9 - Ash Sutton will pull off a "spin and win" 10 - One of the BMWs will cause an accident that takes out the other two during one race. One of the new Civic drivers takes it a step further and takes out all Honda drivers during the very next race. |

1. One race will have to be abandoned altogether due to a sudden change in the weather
2. Neither Plato nor Neal will win the championship 3. The drivers title will be settled in R2 at the final round 4. One of Turkington or Jordan will be champion 5. The new new surface at Silverstone will still be controversial |

2. At one round a BTC Honda will wipe out one of the ‘works’ Dynamic’s Honda’s. 3. ExcelR8 will save Team HARD from finishing last in the Teams Championship 4. Ingram won’t finish in the top 5 of the Championship 5. Goff won’t see out the season at Team HARD |

1. Turkington, Jordan, Cammish, Neal, Sutton and Cook will enter the last weekend in title contention.
2. Plato won't hit the magic 100 win mark 3. Collard will outscore Plato over the season 4. Snetterton will be wet so we don't get to see all three different tyre compounds raced as planned. 5. We won't see more winners than last season. |
