Best Grandstand
At LeMans we have always used the grandstand over the pits. Next year our party has decided to try a different one. Which do you all think is the best and why?

Michelin (T06) is fine but there is the wire. here you can see the cars from all along the straight before Ford chicanes and in the first part of Dunlop curve. You can also see all the activities in the pits for the boxes in front of this grandstand.
On sunday morning from 6h00 to 9h00, I tried the grandstand close to the first "S" of the Ford chicanes (there was no control at that time, shhh, it's a secret). It's a good place, you are higher than the wire, you can take good photos. But...there is no roof. |

Confirmed : Michelin one is pleasant ; ACO is probably better ; and Dunlop gives a very nice view on the curve ! Ford esses grandstands are really good too...

In 2001 I was in T11 (ford chicane, no roof!!!). The views are really good, but it rained sooooo much. Last year T10, roofed, view to the straight and the ford chicanes, good also, and this year T09, unroofed, but good view of the straight and the chicane before straight, and also close to a screen, very useful... The new grandstand close to the tetre rouge esses (first one, the other has no views at all) seem very exciting. Love that parte of the circuit. Maybe next year I´ll book there

Too bad that I can't post movies here, but the view from the T15 is very interresting, from Dunlop uphill to almost Tertre Rouge curve...

Well, over the years I've been in the ACO, Total, Maison Blanche, Dunlop and, thanks to my pal Fab, this year the pits grandstand. As a photographer, the pits grandstand was by far the best view.
