Any ideas on when (or if) the Gravel Trap will re-open?

The Gravel Trap is not going to reopen.

But a replacemnt will open...

We took the decision that the Gravel Trap needed a change of direction if it were to become more fun to use as well as more welcoming and inclusive.

That is all that needs to be said on the matter - as stated in the original announcement we are not going to get into a debate on this. However the overwhelming opinion of our users, voiced via email, has been very supportive of this course of action.

Will the new forum allow (delayed continuation of the) threads about the 10-tenths-members who lost their jobs recently, and our efforts in finding a new job?

In this particular case, "using Google to find another place for those threads" doesn't sound like a good idea, because most of us would probably end up at different places. And the fact that we were all 10-tenths members was what made that thread so special ...

Or is the replacement forum only meant for fun threads?

any chance we can have a date on when something similar is gonna be put into place? I know you've said that there may be plans but I think we should be given a rough date. I'm missing it big time, I know from PM's that I'm not the only one, and have been forced to defect (temporarily hopefully!) to another motorsport forum!
