USG Sheetrock 400 | Chicagoland Speedway
NASCAR Nextel Cup heads to Chicago for their next race. Here is the link to the entry list for the race.
http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2007...ntry_list.html It's not a COT race, so it will probably be a Ford or Chevy for the win. The Roush Fenway Fords have been doing very well in the past few races, so there is a good chance that one of them may get the win. |

Mears on the pole:
Link: http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2007...ta/lineup.html Pretty much a Chevy dominance again with 7 of the top 8 starting spots. Drivers going home are Riggs, Vickers, Jarrett, Allmendinger, Lepage and Wallace. Last edited by Jacko44; 14 Jul 2007 at 00:02. |

The Wood Brothers are racing Bill Elliott because he has provisionals, but it's not working out like they hoped: Awesome Bill doesn't need them! His car was the second-fastest Ford in qualifying.

So half the Toyotas didn't qualify again... A shame AJ Allmendinger is having a tough time. I'm sure he'd rather race at the back then not race at all. I think he'll regret that he left CC.. My feeling anyway.
Montoya 30th then. Has Casey Mears ever won a NASCAR event? |

What event was that fish flake? I have missed one or 2 races this year. I don't have NASN so I have to watch the highlights on Five/Five US.

Johnson just had a tyre let go, tyre mangled the rear guard, then the wall mangled the whole thing...
Earnhardt had his P/S go, but he's still running well. ...things are getting interesting now, time for breakfast while caution is out. |

I fell asleep several times during the race and I only had one glass of wine. Congrats to Tony. I will rate the race a 6.5 out of 10.

Tony gets his first win of the season. I was hoping that on of the Roush Fenway Fords would be able to get the win, but getting second and third is still very good. Here is the link to the results.

First I fall asleep in the motoGP, then I sleep through the NASCAR...
Not happening today. |

"Oh. And and Valentino Rossi is in the gravel." I mean, it's bad enough that the commentators know exactly what's going to happen, but don't make it obvious! And congrats to Smoke. After I dump him from my Fantasy team, HE FINALLY WINS. Thanks. |

Good to see Tony Stewart finally notch a win in 2007 - dont think he would have been to happy playing second fiddle to Denny Hamlin at Joe Gibbs Racing

Nice to see Tony win again. It was close between Edwards and Kenseth on the last lap.
Montoya 15th was good. |
