Steve Wood and Stuart Scott will be out in the Golf and there's a second car registered as well.
The entry list looks really good - reigning champs back out, Mardi Gras running 2, loads of Fiestas - excellent. I see they have divided into 4 classes so should be rather competitive and they are going to some great tracks. |

Roughly how many entries are there-and what/who might we see? Sounds as though it could be a series to keep our eyes on!

At the moment there are 52 entries - absolutely amazing.
It is such good value for money really - European tracks such as Spa, long races (anything from 90 minutes to 10 hours) and everyone is really friendly. To be honest I see this series going from strength to strength. I watched most of the rounds last year (for obvious reasons). It's not as exciting to watch as a sprint but when there are friends in it then it is pretty exciting. |

If you can better the 2, VERY skin tight, black PVC, low cut outfits like the "Pick-Up Racing" girls that were at Rockingham or the 2 Pirreli girls at the Ferrari Festival at Brands I might be interested...looks like it going to be the 4 beers though! PS: Iv'e got pictures of both but havn't sussed out how to scan them onto the site so you will have to imagine!!

Hi Martin - I believe there is talk of a couple of BMW M3 GTR's coming out to play? assuming they have been completed.I presume they will run in the "top" class? We certainly enjoyed the couple of rounds we did at the end of the year - back for more in 2003 I hope!

Martin,
I ran in one of the Fiestas [I was the considerate one] at Snett (Willhire), Croft, Silverstone and Brands and hope to be doing at least some of the rounds next year depending on how other options turn out. I'd kinda like to drive one of the quicker cars so I can at least spend some time looking through the windscreen rather than in my mirrors Maxx |

The Nurburgring 24hr clashes with a CTCRC Group 1 championship event at Lydden by the sound of it, and to be honest I'm a sad home boy at heart.
I am quite keen on something in the Willhire though, will get in touch with a few people and see what I can sort out with sensible money. I had Calum Lockie round for dinner the other week (who drives with Mr Cowgill in here I believe) and he was giving me a bit of a sales job. I've got my hands full in 2003, but who knows what might roll out of the workshops later on - Looks a good series, I'll have to keep a watching brief! well from what I believe you can pick 7 races, one of which is the Willhire so if you don't fancy abroad then there are plenty at home.

I'm afraid I like to have my own cars for regular use. It's not an aversion to abroad, it was just that the two which appeal the most are the Nurburgring and the Willhire but my priority is in defending the championship next year. Stacy |

Thanks everyone for your replies, looks like we could be looking at a serious season for the EERC, lets hope so.
Wishing you all a merry christmas and prosperous new year (we going to need that with 14 rounds). Anyone at the Autosport show Jan 9th, bar nearest BRSCC stand about 2pm. And no i'm not buying. MP |

same here - I wrote out all the dates and worked out hotels etc and then it's changed again. So now I am going to wait until the boys say - Silverstone such and such a date - definite!
mind you it's nice to see the new car in build and they are so excited about it all. |
