I think it will be a bad year for Ferrari, and that Alonzo will pip both Michael and Kimi with Juan Pablo not very far behind in the WDC. Picking each individual race, however, is going to be d**m difficult, if not impossible. |

The great thing about this year is that this is such a tough one to call. One of potentially half a dozen drivers could win it this year and the constructors title is just as open. One thing we can be quite confident about though, is that we are likely to see a new Champion. Imola pace aside, I don't think Ferrari have retained their early season dominance that has been a perpetual feature over the last few seasons. Their Bridgestone tyres will struggle against the Michelins of all their nearest rivals and their chassis just isn't as far ahead of the rest of the pack as it used to be either. However, who is it likely to be if not Mickey?
Well, with Ralf looking less and less likely to be driving with Williams in '05, there's no reason why JPM shouldn't enjoy full support and in a car that looks like it'll be super fast from the off this year you'd have to be pretty silly to dismiss him. Prior to their recent woes I'd have picked Kimi hands down. The MP4/19 looked very fast right out of the box and Kimi has clearly shown he has the ability. However recent reliability problems have created an element of doubt. They may just be sand bagging of course, but if they are they're doing a damn fine job of it! A wild card choice has to be Alonso, super fast and with a car at his disposal that seems to be even closer to the 'big three' than ever before. I don't think it'll be quite good enough this year but certainly come 2005, Alonso and Renault will be a force to be reckoned with. Looking at all the facts it's still near impossible to call, however, in my slightly biased but carefully thought out opinion, I think JPM will get it. Williams aren't going to sabotage their own chances on purpose just because a driver is leaving as they currently hace no-one else to focus their efforts on. During 2003 JPM proved he's got it in him and it seems this year he'll have a car under him with the necessary speed right from the word go. Here's hoping anyway . |

So you think Kimi and Rubens are going to have the exact same number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th etc etc etc, places? Now that I'd like to see!

I don't think people are writing off Schumacher, we're just hoping that someone else wins it this year.

I know, I know, the F1's 2004 season will be very unpredictable.
According Independent's David Tremayne, The Grand Prix season starts next week it promises to be a classic. http://sport.independent.co.uk/motor...p?story=496280 |

Well, Williams have got to get behind ONE of their drivers, and with Ralf wanting more than he or his results are worth and JPM off to pastures greener, the racer in Sir Frank and patrick would go for the charger in Montoya, knowing that one and perhaps both drivers will be gone next year.
The race will be between Kimi and JPM and if they falter MS will take it. The season will be JPM vs kimi vs MS just like last year. |

Should it be rainy for the OZ GP, a vintage Ferrari could do good: my vote to Fisichella
