Nations Cup......New Cars?

I have read that there will be 2 more Monaro's and maybe a few BMW M3 GTR's. Who do you think will be running them and driving them?

Only one new Monaro as far as I can tell... likely a Group 2 contender....

A new Mosler might be on the grid too

A second M3 GTR as well....

I'd expect a couple from GRM and a couple from someone else in group 1.

Team Brock???

MCR/Maranello Motorsport are looking at a 550 for next year

Hopefully the Ian Palmer Brabham Honda-Judd will make it onto the track.

Maybe Kosi Kalitzidis TVR Chimera might be pulled out of mothballs and run again.

Talk of Jim Richards returning in a Porsche, maybe the PHR GT3RS?

How many of these come true, who knows?

Two Monaro's for GRM.
Two Monaro's for Team Brock.
At least one more BMW M3GTR at PHR.
Ferrari 550 Maranello for Mark Coffey.
A Mosler.
Jim Richards is building a Porsche "Mongrel".

That's about all I know at the moment.

Does a Mosler have to have a Chev engine? How about a Mosler with a 427 alloy Ford Motorsports engine, and John Bowe, Marcos Ambrose, Craig Lowndes and Neil Crompton as drivers.

The Mosler runs a 5.7lt Chevrolet, arguably what the Monaro should run.

Last time i remember seeing Bob Thorn's Jag was at the Oran Park PROCAR finale in 2001. I did here talk that Mark Trenoweth was building a new Jag, but nothing came of it if it was true.

There was talk that the 2 Monaros are the Targa Tassy ones that Richo and Brock used and if run in nations cup they will obviously be group 2 cars.

Nope, the Team Brock Monaro's will be very Group 1.

It makes more sense for Prancing Horse to run Porsche as they fit the name. :-)

Reading the Bathurst Programme, they think that they might now be called something like Ademir Group Racing.

I think I have seen some pics of the new Jag being built this year- taking their time and doing it properly. Should be a good thing when it gets going...

Adameir Group is Mahir Algadri's private company, as is Golden Spike Energy Systems.... both appearing on the BMW and Porsche over the 24hr weekend.

I am not sure of MA's relationship with Verve 501 Aparements, but the brand appears on teh PHR Scuderia cars, and on the Bowe #888 Falcon

That's just as silly. With the different types of cars they run, should they not have a generic name? Would make more sense to me.

But who really cares, I guess? Just nitpicking.

Don't forget the time Prancing Horse Racing was running factory Ford's

Could it be that Adamir Racing and PHR Scuderia are like, dare i say it, Shell Helix Racing and Dick Johnson Racing?

I wouldn't expect more than two BMW GTRs. After all there are only two of them.

There are actually 6 of them in existence, only 2 of them have the 'correct' 5 litre engine aboard. The others can be converted, indeed a local team (not PHR) has investigated this possibility.

There will most certainly be a 3rd Monaro in 2004, presumably a Group 2 spec car.

The Mosler is a more than 50% possibility, but the car is yet to be sourced from the manufacturer.... hopefully its a brand new one, the Mosler brought to Bathurst looked a little dog eared and tired

Ey? I thought the deal was that there were going to be two team brock cars, with the workshop on the farm, and a coupe of GRM machines? Where does the Group 2 thing fit into the greater scheme of things?
