Pistonheads has an article about next season, with the calendar. No Croft or Knockhill ( I guess the tracks too narrow?) even though Knockhill site has May 15/16 as a meeting. So I can only get to Donnington & Silverstone.

We went to Oulton Park (2 very long drives in one day) and was totally confused because we couldn't find the start finish line!

To me (I live between Snett and Brands) the Oulton Park journey is worse than Croft! Probably it is the M6 nightmare (anyone been on the toll road). It is a great circuit though Duffacus - you'll enjoy it.

It's a piece of cake from Nottingham. From Grantham I think it took just over two hours so from Nottingham you can take 20 mins off straight away

I'm even more excited now! I've wanted to go for a while but we just never got round to it and it was easier to go to Donington anyway but now i'm older i finally get to go!

To get to Oulton from the south or East Anglia, come off the M1 at the Donington exit (23A), then take the A50 through the outskirts of Stoke, joining the M6 at J15, just a few junctions shy of the Oulton exit. This misses the M6 Birmingham section.

Regarding the GT launch, mixed feelings, which it would be prudent only to allude to in a PM.

And the A50 is a super quick route now..it used to be a nightmare.
I prefer the cross country route from Stoke (A500/A51) to the M6 as that road is sooooooo unpredictable

The Embassy Racing site has some interesting info and seems very well presented

www.embassyracing.com

Looking at the map on this site, I've just realised the farthest north this series gets is Donnington, which is 150 miles south of us. Not only that, the races are on two days commiting to at least one night in an hotel plus an early start and a late return. And the races are just sprints, not proper GT races. I can see the boss & I only going to Silverstone as it is combined with the LeMans type series and should give a really worthwhile meeting

Oulton is further North...in fact Mondello is too despite being a long way west

Yeah, they are - slight overstatement; but Oulton Park took nearly 5 hours to get to 2 years ago - so it's still awkward to get to, for us.

Well I quite lucky, I live with in an hour of Oulton and Donnington and it only takes about 2 hours to get to Silverstone, so I will be at those rounds, for sure. Thruxton is a possiblity, as it's a bank hoilday weekend. So between that and following the touring cars next year looks like it might be a busy year for me.

They are only running the F3 package at Croft and Knockhill. I belive that they are not going to Knockhill as it is around the time of Le Mans PQ.

I think only the Lister Storm with Nicolaus Springer and Jamie Campbell-Walter piloting have been confirmed for GT though they are contemplating running two cars if they have suitably interested parties

The Embassy team based in Wakefield are running Paula Cook and Alan Bonner in a 'Vette.
See www.embassyracing.com
I haven't seen any other confirmations. The Eclipse web site www.eclipsegto.com is still showing 2003 data. I hope Shane Lynch is giving it another go, I thought he was the most improved driver this last season. It was a shame his championship hopes ended through no fault of his own.

Since Shane is a part owner of the team I think you can be pretty sure he'll be back in 04!

I read that Shane was due to participate in the next I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here? Hope it doesn't clash with any races...if so we'll have to vote him out rapido
