are the btcc cars road legal???
?
i only thought about this because the WRC cars are road legal and surely theyre much more powerful than the btcc cars. |

That's an interesting topic, as I've thought that a few times myself. I don't think the cars nowadays would but maybe from a few years ago would be legal, at least in the U.S.!

As for engine power... that would depend on what pollution control laws there are in place and whether or not somebody could do anything to make the things comply... which is really doubtful.
A couple of years I looked over the Volvo 850 that came here from England, and apart from being thoroughly impractical, there were so many changes in basic things, like engine location, for instance, that there was no way it could be road legal under our rules... doubtful anywhere... And do you know how quickly Rose joints would wear out in road use? |
