The closet Road Course is Lime Rock. If you've never been, it's lovely, but rather cold this time of year.
http://www.limerock.com/ Watkins Glen is five hours at least from the city, their season opens in May http://www.theglen.com/ Nazareth in Northeastern Pennsylvania is about 80 miles from NYC. http://race.nazarethspeedway.com/ You might find local Stock Car Tracks in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut,m, a short drive for the city. I think it's a little early, but check the Lime Rock schedule; the Ferrari, BMW and Porsche clubs often have track days there. I don't know of any professional racing this time of year. I'll ask around, though.
