What now for Montagny?
Now he has been dropped by Toyota where do you think he will end up, i do hope he doesn't dive up on single seaters just yet, maybe another test role somewhere, personally i would like to see him drop down to GP2 have a decent crack at that and try again that way, worked ok for Glock. Do you know it still bugs me he was overlooked by Flav for Jacques back in 04, stick with it Franck.

If he went to GP2 next season and won the title, he'd be 31 at the start of his first full F1 season. I can't see it happening somehow.

With both Nakajima and Glock to compete for seats this year at Toyota, I can't see him getting it.
Champ Car possibly? Swap one Frenchman for another... |

I hope he gets something good - one of the nicest people in the F1 paddock. Good luck Franck...

I certainly feel that he is unlikely to get a racing seat next year. A possibility is that he may become a test driver with someone - although the list of possible seats is probably quite short. Stepping back to GP2 is unlikely to push him into a top race seat given his age. Therefore, the likelihood is that he will be either trying to get a Champ Car seat or giving Peugeot, ORECA or Pescarolo a call regarding a sports car seat.

Just read he will be testing for Force India at Jerez, apparently they where less than impressed with Kliens feedback and have decided to give Franck a run out. I know its only Force India but who knows, he is more than capable enough compared to the other guys testing with them at the moment, if he can somehow get into the race seat i am sure he can do a job similar to that of Sutil, remeber what Franck did at Super Aguri when compared to Sato, he more than matched him when the car lasted and the general opinion seems to be that Sato had a good year in 06. Come on Franck !!

Personally I think he will end up back in sportscars. He did pretty well with Pescarolo in 2006 and he seemed to enjoy it, he could do well in the LMS.

As much as Fanck probably deserves that drive, I want it to go to Liuzzi.

I hope he gets the test seat at BMW Sauber. That could open up a seat in WTCC for him in the long run.

A WTCC BMW ride might be a good option indeed, flamboyant Frenchman with crazed hairstyle seems to work out well for SEAT too

BMW would be great. Title winning team RBM has room for a second car, why not a BMW Team France car with Montagny behind the wheel? |

Dont count on Frank wanting to go into Champcar or IRL etc, both series at the moment are pretty much dead. Going into sportscars again is a much better option for him, the LMS is thriving at the moment as is the ALMS. Both series have serious manufacturer involvement and is a good option for a top professional driver like Montangy.
If Montangy doesent go back to sportscars I personally think he will be in the DTM or the WTCC. |

Toyota could drop him a Super GT/Formula Nippon drive, but somehow I don't think that's the right direction for him to go...
