Goodwood Revival Meeting 2004
Goodwood Revival Meeting
I am suprised that there has been no messages about the Goodwood Revival Meeting. My first time and I am pleased to say what a great weekend. We done Goodwood and BARC for the organisation even with the early starts. Some excellent racing. Where can I buy an A35 that goes that fast? My last visit to Goodwood was the first meeting in 1948. Yes and I can remember the smell, noise and actually seeing the drivers. Thank you to all the drivers and owners for making it such an enjoyable event. The driver involved in the Crash "Get well soon" Great company on post with a number of faces I had not met before. Good camping with Toilets and Showers even though some were cold but they were welcome after standing in the sun. The Airial displays and of course the weather made it a great weekend. I am not sure if it is my age but the spectators where polite, friendly and most well dressed. One other aspect over the three days on my post and the spectator area behind was just how clean everywhere was. The grass and landscaping of the spectator areas was clean with plenty of litter bins. In all the three days I only saw one plastic beaker that had been disgarded. The spectator area was as clean on Sunday as it was on Fiday. I am not sure what it was like at other parts of the circuit but I believe it shows just how things used to be. Thank you to everyone associated with this event. |

If you look on the Forum list there is a link Goodwood Revival and quite a few people have mentioned the meeting.

I beg your pardon sinex and anyone else ofended by my starting an new heading. Perhaps due to lack of experience on 10 tenths and my age. I did not expect to find "after event messages" on a section prior to the event relating to tickets and lack of them etc.
