BMMC South-East Region's Trainee Marshal of the Year - Award.
I am very pleased to report that at the BMMC SE Region's AGM this week, NICHOLAS BOWEN was awarded the Region's Trophy for the Trainee of the Year. Nick has not only made his presence felt at Brands Hatch and Snetterton within the Region, but such far flung places as Silverstone and Thruxton. Congratulations!!, Nick. (The Trophy is a fine Silver Rose Bowl, complete with Roses!, and has been kindly donated previously, by the Hastings 1066 Motor Club, when they ceased to promote Meetings) |

Nick,
Many congratulations and well deserved - couldn't go to a better chap! You have proved to be a welcome and key member of my crew at Snetterton and I am sure that the rest of the team and indeed everyone involved at Snett will echo those congratulations. Sorry about the delay in replying, just recovered from the weekend at Silverstone and then a sunny Mallory! I was very surprised and truly honoured to be given this award. As Terry knows I didn't spend as much time at Snetterton (or Brands) as I would have liked. I booked the majority of my meetings at the start of the season and didn't want to start cancelling things half way through. I do intend to visit you guys more next season. I didn't want to blow my own trumpet, so I sent a private e-mail to Gerry the day after the award, but now that you've mentioned it, I do want to thank Steve and especially Terry for their support and friendship this year, as well as all the other great people I've met on my travels, it's been unforgetable. I'm going to stop now before I do a Gwyneth Paltrow, but once again, many thanks. Nick Bowen.
