2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Round 26: Air Guard 400, Richmond International Raceway
Last race before the chase and a race that has become one of my favorites of the year. Great track, night racing, numerous "story lines" and usually every time the green flag drops at Richmond, there is great racing all the way through to the checkered flag....
Jayski Race Page Practices 12-2, and 245-330, Friday Q-ing Friday @ 540, Friday Green Flag @ 743est PM Saturday Night Weather looks simply AWESOME, with no rain in sight. |

Not sure anyone can catch Bowyer or the Bif, but anything can happen on a short track. I'm looking forward to this one... |

ABC feed is good, as is MRN
I am just waiting to see what kind of coverage we have in store in the US. 9/11 commemoration in full force. It has been an awful day in College football....for me at least. |

If someone had told me 3 or 4 years ago that I would be seeing Juan Pablo and AJ Allmendinger battling door to door for 2nd place at Richmond in stockcars, I would have laughed my ass off.

60 laps in to the race and the Bif has locked his spot into the chase....
Only one spot left and a currently, that belongs to Bowyer. |

Ambrose hanging on to the back of the top ten on lap 120 shows signs of promise, just another 280 odd laps to go

Strong Showings
By Ambrose, well done! I think that's his best finish on an oval. Looks good moving in Petty next season.
JPM for getting another Top 10 finish. When I turned away to watch the start of the USC Game, he was in 2nd. I guess that was before final pit stops. This is how JPM should have been running all year, they were going (earlier) for victories and it cost them. Well Done Mattias would I think I would have picked New Hampshire as road racers like JPM and Robby Gordon have done well there, that could translate to ME doing well on a oval. I didn't watch alot of it. Okay back to College Football. |

Congrats to Denny indeed. Very clean race last night two? cautions, only. Crazy.
Taz scored a 3rd at Bristol last year. He just seems comfortable on the short tracks and in tight quarters. |

Was`hoping for a miracle for McMurray to get him into the "Chase". RPM has got to do better on their pit-stops for AJ. They were costing him 1-2 places each time.

Allmendinger in the Petty car has had a good run up the front end of recent times - promising for the team & Ambrose in 2011
