Other Single Seater Series Entries/Rumours that never happened

I mean other single seater seater series besides F1 and Indycar.

The 2009-2010 A1 GP Season for starters, there would have been at least 19 teams/countries with the following drivers prospectively signed on, John Martin, Felipe GuimarĂ£es, Zahir Ali, Satrio Hermanto, Fairuz Fauzy, Aaron Lim, Luis Diaz, Salvador DurĂ¡n, Robert Doornbos and Jeroen Bleekemolen.

There followed two failed attempts to revive the series as the A10 World Series and AFRIX.

In the series' inaugural/2005-2006 season, Team Great Britain named Robbie Kerr and Alex Lloyd as their drivers but Lloyd never got to actually race for them.

Also the Premier 1 GP Series, intended to start in 2002, although the concept did eventually kick-off (pardon the pun) as Superleague Formula in 2008.

Formula Superfund in 2005.

The UK3000 Championship in 1999 and The BRSCC-developed Formula 3000 Autumn Cup at the end of 2000.

In the late nineties there was talk of a series for redundant Formula 3000 cars powered by the AJP V8 engines used at the time in TVR Tuscan Challenge cars. Only Reynard chassis would used and I believe at least one car was built, possibly ending up in the Irish Formule Libre championship.

At roughly the same time Peter Wardle tried to start a one make series but that didn't get off the ground at all as far as I am aware.

The 1995 British F2 Season never took place as the only prospective entries were Peter Olsson for Madgwick International and Steven Arnold for Richard Arnold Developments.

The 1997 British F3000 got as far as a single race with only the DKS Racing duo of Tommy Field and Dino Morelli and a single Redman Bright Engineering entry for the late Gonzalo Rodriguez.

The Superleague Formula series was looking to continue using the Panoz DP09 in 2012 before switching to a new chassis for 2013. The most likely candidate was the Lola World Senior Car.

2003 International F3000:

Danish drivers Philip Andersen and Jakob Ludvigsen were linked to Den Bla Avis just before the team went bust.

Brand Motorsport were one of two new teams on the grid but they pulled out after running Nicolas Minassian and Gary Paffett in the season-opener at Imola.
