My particular FIM GP WC (how I had scored riders in Welkom)

Along the years I have adquired the custom of making a score for each GP adding points from grid position, fast lap in race and, of course, race result. I have found it usually resume pretty nicely what I subjectively think about how each rider has done in the weekend.

My (very simple) "system" is as follows:
- Grid: 0.25 for pole and 0.1 for 2nd (actually 0.125 rounded).
- Fast lap in race: 0.5 for fastest rider, 0.25 for 2nd and 0.1 for 3rd.
- Race result: 1 for win, 0.5 for 2nd, 0.25 for 3rd and 0.1 for 4th.
(Total: 3.1 points per race scattered among riders. Maximum points for one rider is 1.75)

Of course, as everyone of us "see" races from a different point of view (raw speed, race tactic, fighting spirit,smoothness,...) this system just fit with me, but not with others point of view. But let's go on with it to see how it has scored riders in Welkom.

MotoGP:
Rossi 1.5
Biaggi 1
Gibernau 0.5
Barros 0.1
(It is more or less how I saw the weekend, specially the race)

250cc:
Pedrosa 1.1
De Puniet 1
Porto 0.9
Poggiali 0.1
(Again I agreed subjectively with this, but could Porto be considered the real heroe of the race, more even than Pedrosa?)

125cc:
Dovizioso 1.4
Locatelli 1.25
Stoner 0.4
P.Nieto 0.1
(Should Stoner be higher? I don't know, but Dovi and Loca were the stars, for sure)

As riders race according to the official point system, this particular system is not reliable to "predict" who is going to win the title. But anyway I'll go on calculating it just out of curiosity.
