Playstation 2 advice for a novice please
Hi armchair enthuisiasts, my first venture into your world (from the relative sanctity of the Racer's forum) and I would like to ask a question please - I recently received a playstation 2 and I intend to use it to help me learn some circuits. What would be the best game, if any, for me to practise on for UK circuits - is there a BTCC version with a good spread of circuit choice or perhaps something else ? Thanks in advance....

Codemasters line of TOCA Touring Car games use the Royal Ordnance Survey to map their tracks and are supposed to accurate with in 1/3 meter. The every track used on the 1999-2000 touring car seasons. I do not know if a newer version is available in the Uk right now.

If you want to learn Britsh circuits then your best bet is probably the PSone game Toca 2 (which will also work on your PS2). Its a pretty good sim of all the famous UK tracks. For racing games in general you can't beat Gran Turismo 3, while it won't help you with no official tracks, its easily the best racing game available on any console.
