Same routine I've gone through for 23 previous visits.
Up before dawn on Wednesday, ride to the Kalkallo servo and hook up with a few others then straight through to a mates property at Oberon where we doss down before hitting the track on Thursday, after that who knows Last year we where on the inside beside the historic racers marquees near pit exit, this year Im not sure where we will be. |

On race morning i will walk out the front door at about 9.30 and have a 15 min walk to get to the track to watch the start. Stay for a bit and go home for a while and watch tv and have some lunch, then probably go back for the finish

This year taking the 5 year old boy up for Qualifying Day on Friday. His first time to the mountain (wonder how many times he'll go over the years???)
Crash in a house near the circuit on Friday night. Back to circuit (without young bloke...) for practice and shootout Saturday. After many years at Murrays, last year slept on the hill down near Hell Corner (man it was cold at 3am!!!!!!!!) Up for the obligatory sunrise Bourbon. Then it's dig in the chairs, bacon and egg rolls and settle back for the warm-up... Bets on at the TAB and by 930am the hairs on the back of the neck are standing! This year have Monday off so can have a Sunday ale for the first time since 1996 |

Ahoy there. You might have been a bit of a "polyhead" in those days...
You're right! I had to take the ankle biters to the Ad Zoo and missed Clipsal qualifying. Had to get enough brownie points to go to the circuit Saturday and Sunday. That was 2003 I think??? |

It sounds like you are all going to have a great time. Just remember to drive safely and sober, and don't forget to give us your reports when you get back, I for one will be looking forward to them. Take care.
