Yeah. He went like a bullet. He needs a full time drive in one of the V8's.

no offence intended to Ryan , but I dont want him in V8's (just yet) I'd live to see him have a 5 or 6 years career in Champcars or something like that before coming home.

Hopefully he can put something together over there , but yes great effort first time up this weekend

There are reativly no seats left in the Blue Oval country. Best bet for Briscoe would have to be Perkins.

No he doesn't!
I think this qualifying result goes to show how good Ryan really is.
He needs to pursue his career overseas. As Marcus said, a few years in champcar or similar is the go. He is too good to come back here and race taxi's for the next whatever amount of years.
I have always been a huge fan of Ryan's and hope he has a successful enduro campaign, but please Ryan, don't come and race taxi's full time just yet...

Well, #22's gearbox had bit of a leak with the gearbox in Practice but they patched that up and HRT are running a new configuration with the 'box ever since Oran Park so I think the box will be alright for the race.

i think he will be overseas next year, he certainly has the talent and i would bet mr skaife would have a water tight contract with ryan for many years to come. He wont let this happen again.

Briscoe signed a 3 race deal with Dreyer and Reinbold.

This effort reinforces why he shouldnt be in v8's.

Didn't think this topic was about gearbox failures.. but anyway.. Good onya Ryan, not many guys can score a provisional pole in their first ever V8supercar round.

Tomorrow will be interesting for car 22, hope they have a good steady run. And yes I agree, this guy has far too much talent to be sitting in a v8supercar next year.... down the track, we'd love to see you driving one Ryan, but lets hope you have a good long and successful overseas career before you decide its time to try to become a V8supercar Champion!!!!

I can see Briscoe making it big in America, trying his luck at F1, then chucking an Alan Jones/Larry Perkins and racing V8s.

car 22 broke a gearbox yesterday, that is why it is relevant.

car 88 may be driverless next season, for the short space of time it takes to sign either a 'big name' if available, or jamie whincup if they cant find who they want
