Absolutely awful. Call that Grand Prix racing? Back in the day people used to race and the drivers were real men. I'd vote zero if I could.

Three. Potential for interesting things, but not much really happened.

The commentator going on about that absolutely amazing pass by Rosberg on, who was it Ricciardo? Which was all DRS!!!
The only real pass was Vettel into the hairpin. |

Terribly boring race with another gift win. Arrivabene needs to sort out his strategy department quickly. A three.

Montreal usually produces a good race but it wasn't quite there, this year.
5 because it's not a Tilkedrome. |

Well it's easy to say they got the wrong strategy, but I don't think the Ferrari had a chance in hell of going 45 laps on the softs like Mercedes did, and still doing strong lap times, unfortunately.
They could only have hoped Hamilton didn't jump them in the pit stops and they could ruin his tyres in dirty air and he'd sit behind them for 45 laps. Hamilton already confirmed post race the original plan was for 2 stops, then they switched to 1, but they would have done the opposite to what Vettel did. By the way the post-race interview with Seb and Lewis was quite funny, they found the coverage of Vettel running wide when two seagulls distracted him (never saw that live). Unfortunately Hamilton gets a bit obnoxious with all the Ali talk. Last edited by Razzzor; 13 Jun 2016 at 01:44. |

5. It was an interesting start. Racey for the first quarter of the race. Got quiet then. It would've been better if Vettel didn't get his bout of bad luck.

3 - There was no real fight at the front. The Hamilton versus Vettel fight could have been so much better. Very few decent passes. The cameras seemed to have missed Sainz's journey from 20th to 9th. Only the Verstappen versus Rosberg stuff was exciting.

4 After an exciting start it didn't live up to the hype or promise.

6. Not great, not bad, couple of interesting strategy bits and a couple of great drives.

8. I thought it was a great race, and I am puzzled by the low scores.
We had a race for the win (OK, decided by strategy), a comeback through the field for Rosberg, plus some close action for the podium between Williams, Ferrari and Red Bull. Plus, I just love this track. |

6 - The race was neither good or bad. Sadly, it was decided by pitstop strategies instead of on-track passing.

It was cringeworthy in the extreme! You are right though, Hamilton doing all that Hamilton stuff was great in his eyes but possibly ill advised for everyone else! |

2.
Would've been a generous 3 if it wasn't for Hamilton's vomit inducing shuffling and Ali comments after the race. |

6 - not a classic, and some rain would have spiced it up, but as usual I find the miserablist whinging about the winner being in a good mood incomprehensible. If he deadpanned all his interviews like Kimi I could see the reason to complain, but Kimi is a real exception. As anyone who has ever competed knows - when you've done well you're on a high and likely to be voluble - if you've not done well you're likely to be grumpy.......
I liked the Hamilton / Vettel "seagull" interview - great banter |

The thing with Lewis is it's not that I don't want him to be happy and excited after a race, but how many times does he have to go on about the car floating like a butterfly, and doing the same old Ali quotes that everyone knows, saying he spent the last 15 laps just thinking about Ali... He's probably never met him, Ali's last fight was years before Lewis was even born, yet he makes out he was some sort of childhood idol. Wait a minute... is Lewis secretly Muhammad Ali's son? <rumour started> |
