Minardi/Arrows at Rockingham

Anyone hear about how the "shoot out" between Last years Arrows & this years Minardi went at "The Rock" today? If Paul Stodart has ruled out the oppertunity of running the Arrows cars this season what was the point in buying them? Is he gonna give those Ascaris a run for their money in BOSS?

Could be wrong but I think it was a "Buy 4 tones of carbon fibre and we'll throw in 5 slightly used F1 cars absolutly free" deals. Since Paul had them anyway he thought he may as well give them a run.

This is most likely,I think they may be eligable next year?
I think he may be selling the Minardi team to someone with major sponsorship? No point in just making up the numbers.

Stoddy seems to think that since they are not chassis built by Minardi, it is legal to run them during the ban...

Are you sure this test is today? Paul told me at Silverstone that they are running Tuesday week i.e next Tuesday.
There also seems to be a lot of confusion regarding his buying the Arrows gear/cars. One of the Minardi sponsors has actually bought the goods for the team to use, therefore they own it - Paul was bidding upon their behalf. So it was not Bernie's or Paul's money.
Minardi are also running at the Rock on August 7/8/9 with their annual charity two seater event. The two F1 drivers and Paul are the only drivers signed up to do it so far and PS has a wish list of possible drivers to fill the remaining five seats.

Of course, if Paul Stoddart gets to drive one of the Arrows chassis', it won't be the first time he has driven this particular make of car.

Roman Abramovich (who bought Chelsea FC) should buy Minardi and turn them into a championship winning side. Enough said.

Formula BOSS only allows to race F1 cars built until 1998... The A23s are too new to race there...
If Stoddard wants to go back to BOSS, he could use his old Tyrrells 025 and 026 (if he still owns them).
