TOCA's chairman, Alan Gow has stood down from his role in TOCA which was recently sold to new BTCC promoters BMP.
There has been much speculation over Gow's departure in recent weeks. Gow has said that he has no hard feelings and warned BMP to think carefully about changing the rules and risk undoing the last eight years of work. Gow's temporary replacement will be BARC head Dennis Carter |

Anyone who knows me reasonably well knows that I'm always being rude about Alan Gow, but if it wasn't for him then the BTCC wouldn't be half what it is now, and we wouldn't have enjoyed so many great races, drivers and championships as we have. The guy needs respect - he's done a fantastic job for the sport, and I fear it's about to be all undone...
But that doesn't make me like his personality any more! |
