F1 2009/2010

F1 2009 will be released this Autumn on Wii and PSP. There will be no PS3 or XBox release until mid-2010.

I know it's still far from finished, but first impressions count a lot for a number of people, and I'd be amazed if anyone looked at it and thought "wow, this is a game I have to have!".

Reminds me of Indianapolis 500, the PC game made 20 years ago.
Plus, the screenshots give it an arcade look, and give you the impression it'll be horribly tailored towards arcade gameplay. Wrong, wrong, wrong!

Yes, I'm aware they'll undoubtedly be trying to make it appealing to a wide range of ages, and therefore arcade is important, but you'd think they could make it like GP4 or LFS, and give people the option of using all sorts of driver aids that still make it enjoyable.

Sorry folks, maybe I should have made that a bit clearer in my orignial post. The 1st and 5th images are PSP screenshots, and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th images are Wii screenshots. Really looking forward to seeing the PS3/Xbox previews...

i think with PS3 and XBox they are still in progress with Laser Scanning the tracks. Then again, im probably wrong that they laser scanned them.

Nope, you're spot on. As far as I know, the laser-scanning of the tracks is continuing, and will give the most realistic simulation yet of camber and gradients as well as tyre wear and rubber being laid down on the racing line as sessions progress.

If it's being released in 2010 for the xbox and ps3, will that be with the 2010 cars/circuits/drivers, or the 2009 ones a year late, or both?
