Andre Lotterer won his third German Formula 3 race at Oschersleben on Saturday. This guy looks a lot like Jan Magnussen. He's somewhat of a racing machine. He just sits down and does 22 straight laps without a single error (well he had a small off at Oschersleben, but he was miles in front so that doesn't count )
Next to that he's got a huge bag of money to spend, since Red Bull and Jaguar Formula 1 are paying for his career. My question: why would Jaguar (owned by Ford) be interested in a German youngster with soooo many British talents around. Could this be "the one"? Dave Ps. That is a very good question, he must be good. I would have thought that maybe Mercedes or even BMW would be more into signing up a young German.
Maybe Jaguar should put some of their vast finance into supporting some American young drivers, (dare I say Mr Apple??!!??), I would like to see an American make it into F1 at some point. |

For the same reason as they wanted to sign HHF - they see Germany as a market which they wish to crack. Maybe it's something to do with wanting to beat Mercedes' and BMW's sales figures in their own back yard ?
