conspiracy?
I think so... how can they penalise JPM for that move... that just sux ...grrrr
I think it's safe to say that if it was the other way around, MS would not have been penalised. Last edited by Lazarus; 17 Mar 2002 at 07:24. |

That was a F***ing stupid decision by the stewards. But if the great god of F1 did it, nothing would have been done.
The whole thing stinks. It just shows how much F1 is ruled by Ferrari and TGF...... |

Monotoya said it was a racing incident...so did Michael
Schumacher agreed the penalty for Montoya was harsh... Not too many fireworks. |

I can't understand it !!
It just makes the sport look bad I think - how can you take part in a sport where the rules are not clear fron the start!! |

and for all the tgf lovers out there, i don't think this thread is actually anti-tgf, it's about how the FIA would seem to want tgf/ferrari to win!
although the move by tgf was dodgy imo |

Just to make it even more clearer to those who doubt... it wouldn't suprise me one bit if both the williams's are disqualified because of having slicks at the end.
Or maybe they'll save that one for another race |

If he was at fault, I think he would have tried to avoid answering the question, saying something like, "It's not my job to decide, it must be very difficult for them etc. etc."
Let me see the in-car footage from TGF first... |

I think the reason JPM was penalised may have had more to do with them overeacting to the startline incident in the Australian GP (like JPM hinted at in the press conference) rather than any TGF bias.

I always avoid the "FIA are biased" discussions, preferring to give them the benefit of the doubt, but today's decision was unbelievable, and may have far reaching consequences. Will other drivers now be afraid to challenge Mikey, in case they get penalised.

Michael Schumacher makes an utterly dangerous and bone-head move at the start which could have caused a massive accident, Juan Montoya is ahead of Schumacher in the corner at the point of their collision (this can be seen clearly from the onboard footage from Montoya's car) - and Montoya gets the penalty.
Unbelievable. If there are anyone out there who after this still can't see that Ferrari are being blatantly favourised, they are clearly living on another planet. |
