Ralph Firman to test for BAR

...well not permanently (yet), but he'll drive a 004 in mid December. Pity that out of the 3 Brits who won major championships this year, they give the test to the one who's probably a bit past it (how many years was he in FNippon before he won the championship? oh well).

Probably good test-driver-material then, not the Massa-type to throw it into the tyre wall wasting a days testing.

ASCAR mostly, interspersed with commentating (badly) on the BTCC. Also did a couple of BTCC races earlier this year and was very quick, winning one race.

BAR are also testing German F3 champion Brit Gary Paffett and Japanese runner-up Koeske Mattsura.

Two of Davidson's former karting team-mates, Gary from British Juniors and Koeske from his Biesse Kart International Formula Super A years.

Paffett is also due to test with McLaren at Barcelona so it should make an interesting comparison for him...(Thinks!!!... I wonder which he will go faster in?...Hmmm!)
