ranoff should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Loton Park Hill Climb 10th & 11th June

Like coiled springs they await the call to action -

that and an arduous half hour reading the latest edition of VIZ.

Meantime these marshals at the adjacent post, already hot and bothered, try to help Chris Merrick improve on his personal best!

But seriously though folks, everyone did a fantastic job in the heat all weekend. I hope that Andy Cooke, driver of Renault 5 turbo number 38, is feeling OK after his shunt.

Nice to see some old Peers still involved with the sport your Lordship. Sunday afternoon? Those two old boys were making ZZZZZZZZZZZ's quite early on Saturday! During the second batch I think.

I am just waiting for the abuse from Mr BX. It will be worth it!

Seriously though....
It was a damn good weekend....
A very hot saturday followed by a most enjoyable pig roast in the evening (Thanks H&DLCC) washed down with a little bit of falling down water followed by a de brief around the caravan accompanied by a little more falling down water then an excellent days competition on sunday with 2 very exciting run offs..

Thanks to all the marshal/officials and to all the drivers for providing such a spectacle..

Anyone going to a hillclimb for the first time would most definately be going again after last weekend....

Just have to agree 100%.

Did you check out the picture of Scott Moran slightly sideways out of Fallow in Motorsport News? Both he and the Groover were having traction troubles on the top part of the course but they still showed everybody else the way home in both rounds.

A few years ago, I watched Scotty from Ess Approach in the Pilbeam. In Practice, he got a sudden understeer as he accelerated out of Crossing. He made a lightening jink to find some grip and hardly lifted. It might have been concious or instinct, either way, from that point on, I've rated him.

I don't think I'll get any argument (in fact i'm guessing most ppl will say they've rated him since Caterhams), when I say to be pushing Grover in a slightly heavier car, proves he's top draw.

Marshalling Bag is a back marker
Ranoff

Both Martin and Scott were on form at the weekend, it was nail biting stuff. The racing as a whole was wonderful though, am I right in thinking that Roy Stanley broke another record this weekend?

What with superb racing, sunshine, a very nice pig roast and good company all in all it was a brilliant weekend
