Mallory - 4th June

I've just been loking at the Timetable for the televised meeting @ Mallory on Monday 4th June. Looks good, 13 races, 10 are 10 minutes, 2 are 20 minutes and the MGB 50 Anniversary race is half an hour.
The formulas out are;
BARC SE Tintop, BARC SE Inter Marque, 2CV's, Monoposto, MG Metro's, Sprites/Midgets, MGB's & MR2's. Wow.
See you there?

Should be a good meeting, although I'm not venturing up there, hopefully the TinTops will manage both their races this year.

I'll definitely be there. My old mates in the Spridgets plus 2CVs and MR2s....and Mallory is pretty much my favourite circuit anyway. I wonder if, as a trainee, I'll be allowed to play with the flags this time .

Sounds like a good day's racing. Which club is it? 2nd/3rd at Silverstone and then to Mallory for the Monday..... now to persuade Dad!

From BARC's website:

"At the ages of 16 and 17, the Junior marshal may assist in the areas mentioned above, plus, they will be accepted to work at a Marshals Post on the Bank, provided that the Official in question NEVER comes forward of the first line of defence (i.e. the Armco Barrier) when competition traffic is on track or circulating."

and remains under the supervsion of Parent / Legal Guardian / Another person (aged over 21) who is pre-nominated, in writing, by either the Parent or Lega1 Guardian ... and that person is at sign-on to counter-sign the paperwork.

so yes it is do-able, one just has to work (quite reasonably) within the club's system
