Go China!
Like the car. It's cool to see some grafix incorporated, most of the others are looking fairly staid and super-serious. |

Hi Russdev and a very warm welcome to both Ten-Tenths and the A1GP Forums.
The car looks fabulous and as others have said above, it gives yet more creedence to the A1GP series. |

Same here, It's great to see the A1 China entry, beautiful livery! I couldn't help thinking the car looks like a fun size Ferrari F1...
Circuit-wise, it is very likely to be in Zhuhai or even the Beijing Street circuit as proposed by the Champ Car organiser - the latter based on the revised version of the 1.5mile Goldenport Motor Park road course. Last edited by TerryC; 7 Apr 2005 at 10:35. |

Looks like A1GP has reached a point of no-return, and I think that's great. Do the team drivers have to be citizens of that country? If so, has China got anyone on the international stage?

The drivers do have to be citizens of the country.
There are a few Chinese drivers bubbling under, including Marchy Lee and Ho Ping Tung (although he was born in the Netherlands) |

The driver must hold the passport of the country that his team represents. Ho-Pin Tung will therefore not be allowed to represent China unless he can secure a Chinese passport.

Just been reported that the Federation of Auto Sports of China (FASC, China's ASN) will run its driver evaluation/shoot out at Zhuhai circuit in early May. Apparently only mainland Chinese driver will be considered. Therefore no Ho-Pin Tung and no Marchy Lee. Franky Cheng of McLaren is also not being considered because of his F1 link.
Yep, we are left with Jiang Teng-Yi (2004 Italian Formula Renault) and Ma Qing-Hua (2004 China Formula Campus champ) only. Everybody please lap Team China with caution. I think we will need to put an 'L' sign on the car. |

Pity the Isle of Man doesn't enter a team. It would be a great opportunity for business for the Island of course. But maybe the franchise cost is a touch expensive
