Gil De Ferran Motorsports becomes Acura LMP2 #4
Gil De Ferran Motorsports will join the ALMS with an Acura LMP2 entry. Gil will be one of the drivers, the balance of the details to be announced. The team will join the ALMS mid-season. Source, more details and interview at DSC

Stellar news!

The best part I read was that he would be looking for the fastest possible co-driver, and that all funding was in place to be competitive! (no need for a driver to bring additional funding).

Excellant news ..... didnt see that one coming at all . I thought it was going to be maybe a 2nd Highcroft entry .

Cant wait for the Sebring Acura battle !!!

Would be interesting, but I'd find it funny if Johansson commits to a full season switching between two different teams. Great news though. Will there still be two Highcroft cars or is this the 4th Acura that was hinted at?

Clarke said there would be 4 cars built, so I would think that there will not be any others this year.

Whats happened to the Fernandez Lola ?..... it was a fairly well sorted chassis .

Lola no more... they are using what they feel is the better chassis, in the Acura ARX-01b.

Yep , i knew that mate . Im asking about what happened to their Lola , like where is it now ? Would be a well sorted chassis for the ALMS or LMS .

I believe I saw it in Autoweek's Buy/Sell ads two weeks ago, which means that the chassis was already on the way out for Fernandez Racing.

Just leaves us to wonder who will buy it.

Didn't they* acquire the old Intersport P2 Lola as well?

*They could be either Honda or Fernandez Racing.
