Subaru_WRX_STi has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
LMS GT2 vs FIA GT2 who is stronger ?

both series have good teams and drivers, so which one has the strongest field and competition ?

I would say FIA GT is the strongest series worldwide for GT2 entries. I know a ALMS team won the GT2 class at Le Mans this year but then the strongest team from FIA GT didnt exactly enter a top draw line up. Had AF Corse put in the team they used for the Spa 24 hours of Bruni/Melo/Salo I think they could easily have walked away with the LM GT2 crown.

for me there are no doubts SRO series has the strongest GT2 competition in Europe, it looks like a Ferrari Challenge for sure, but it has a very close racing, and great teams, the LMS is good too, but only 3 cars fight for the win

As far as I am aware the only team to do at least one race in LMS and FIA GT this year are IMSA Performance Matmut.

nope, Felbermayer Proton run Bucharest street races, with very poor results against the FIA regulars

FIA GT, absolutely. Something like the Virgo walkover after starting last at the Nürburgring couldn't happen there.

To be fair, each car had a gentleman in it with a factory driver, so they were never on for a result. Both cars were quick in the hands of the pros.

at Felbermayer they should put Lieb and Lietz together at Bucharest, the Felbermayer father and sonn, were too slow against the quickest GT2 drivers in Europe (Bell, Bruni, Westbrook, Collard...)

FIA GT is clearly on highest level. A lot of top teams and most of them with purely pro line-ups. Only 3-4 cars with 1 amateur in. It looks like a Ferrari Challenge, that's right. Ferrari has the best teams and loads of good drivers (Bruni, Bell, Kirkaldy, Biagi, Montanari, Mullen etc). Only the works Porsche of Collard-Westbrook has done decent results, while Palttala and Williams have been unarmed with their slower teammates. Williams even runs Pirelli. Vantage was there in the last race, by the way.

ALMS comes close, top is really tough, as good as FIA, and the racing is excellent. It seems to me that the manufacturers are supporting ALMS more than the European series.

LMS is not even close to the above two. The teams are smaller and only a couple of really good line-ups (Bruni-Bell, Lieb-Davison). The rest of the cars are filled with 1 or 2 gentleman drivers. This doesn't mean that the racing wasn't good, though!

IMHO FIA-GT GT2 is stronger. I believe the only LMS GT2 that would consistently run with the leaders in FIA-GT is the Virgo car. However, since Bell/Bruni already drive in FIA-GT for other teams, it would be important who they got to drive the car. Muller/Farnbacher would probably do well.

Indeed. They'd only have two hours within which to claw themselves from the back of the grid, for a start.

It's clear your point of view: FIA GT or LMS, just because Ferrari has won both, while the most important of all, ALMS, has been won by Porsche.
How can you compare LMS with ALMS? FIA GT or ALMS? ALMS is more prestigious, because there are the most important teams of the endurance races. Audi, Porsche, Corvette, Peugeot, LMP1, LMP2, GT1, GT2...
A little big difference!
If Ferrari would have won the ALMS, you would have asked which is the best, ALMS or FIA GT?
Would you mean Ferrari has won the most important GT championship?
Sorry, you're on the wrong way!

Maybe our friend Subaru is just more interested in European series and less interested in US series. You don't have to constantly think people are against Porsche. Personally, I happen to agree with you that ALMS has better GT2 than anyone, but that wasn't the question here.

again I am speaking about "European" racing, and I am sure when the Freisinger Porsche, or lets say "Porsche AG" from 2002 to 2004 completely dominating FIA N-GT, you followed FIA GT, now that a single competitve 997 is facing a Ferrari squad, you think that FIA GT is foolish and not important, if you prefer only the ALMS you re free, I prefer watching all the 3
