I'm not sure, but CCP Racing/Team Effort (note the new name please) with drivers Vasser, Jourdain & Wilson would have 30 points according to the Champ Car web page. Did we lose points for Vasser's DNF or did I read the rules wrong?

Hey Liz...you forgot to mention who the first guy out was. Is it Marques(Marqueee...damn Jenikns) or do Vasser,Sperafico and Marques count as first ones out of the race?

According to my math, Paul Tracy (my first driver) recieved 32 points and Bruno Junqueira (my second driver) recieved 29 points, totalling 61 points. Paul recieved 2 hard charger points, bringing my total up to 63, and Bruno's loss in a position dropped me down to 62. Now if we count Jimmy Vasser's 5 points (I'm not sure if they count due to his DNF) I should be up to 67 points. According to the rules, I lose no "Hard Charger" points due to JV's retirement, and if I did, that would bring my down to 61. So what I'm saying is, I think you're wrong.

I could have misread the rules as well, but I count 29 for Junqeira + 27 for Bourdais as 56, less 4 points from Tag who lost four positions in the race, bringing it down to 52...

(it's funny to see that me and stranger, both from holland, choose exactly the same team).
I would say I have more points Tracy = 32 + 2 charger points = 34 Bourdais 27 - 1 charger point = 26 RHR lost a position -1 Total = 59 But I have also 2 cars on the podium, do I have then 5 bonus points, or does that only count when RHR also finished on the podium??? I would say 59+5=64 But maybe i'm totaly wrong |

I'm having trouble with your Math too Liz, If you ave some clarification as to how you calculate dpoints i would appreciate it
Paul Tracy 32 pts + 2 HC pts = 34pts Bruno Junqueira 29pts -1 HC pt = 28pts Alex Tagliani 0pts - 4 HC pts = -4pts Total pts for Team Smersh = 58 pts, not 56 as awarded |

Polar Bear Express Racing does not seem to be listed or am i not looking close enough? We had enough sponsorship to run the whole year! Honest!
I would have thought my team would have been top ten. (pt,seabass, tags) |

Liz firstly thank you for being quick, must be great fun with so many teams to sort out! Three requests/questions, one of which has been mentioned.
1) Who was first out? According to cart.com its Marques: 16 10 12 J. Vasser Contact 17 15 14 A. Sperafico Contact 18 0 19 T. Marques Contact 2) Can you list what driver got what points thus making it easier to double check though I'm sure your spot on :-) if not possible to copy/paste easily maybe a downloadable link if craig is so kinda as to let you upload a non-picture. 3) I put Geoff Boss then requested, after friday with Justin being confirmed, that Tarso Marques be my third driver so does that count or not? Thank you again! |

Now I'm getting a headache.
Here are the points I calculated for the drivers (before the other points were added): Allmendinger 5 Tagliani 11 Junqueira 27 Vasser -1 Wilson 24 Jourdain 12 Haberfeld 18 Dominguez 21 Phillipe 11 Servia 0 Carpentier 26 Tracy 33 Gonzales 10 Lavin 10 Hunter-Reay 16 Bourdais 24 Marques 0 Bourdais and Junqueira each got one point for pole; Vasser at the time I did the calculations was shown as first man out. I didn't do the points for fastest lap or anything else, only pole position. I am not a mathematician so if anybody can demonstrate that I added up wrong, I will happily change your score and try to do better next time. |

Hi Liz,
It's me Dov......I'm housesitting my dads place and I don't remember what my old password is, so I decided to register under another name while I'm staying here. My first 2 drivers finished on the podium....Bourdais (3rd) and Tracy (1st)....shouldn't I have more points then 37? My team is Charlie's Angels Racing.....I believe I lost a point because my third driver RHR lost one spot from where he started, but I still think I should have more points then 37!? Thanks, Dov aka tr-1 |

Sorry Liz but...
Here's how I see it. It will basically hold true for Dov as are teams are very similar (although Dov did his best to confuse you by subbing Tracy for Jordain somewhere in mid-stream) SNAFU Racing is shown with 64 points and should be 65 as follows: Tracy 32 + Bourdais 27 = 59 + 5 for both on the podium = 64 + 1 for Bourdais second day pole = 65 Charlie's Angels then lose 1 for RHR = 64 and - ??? for using an assumed name ...and you volunteered for this abuse  Last edited by Flatspot; 20 Apr 2004 at 01:42. |

OK, I will change those and thank you for the help! I'll get it together for the next race.
Incidentally, Polar Bear Express you have 54 points. |

I know I'm being a pain but with your numbers for CCP/Team Effort (Vasser/Jourdain/Wilson - -1/12/24, assuming Vasser was first out) I get 35 as a total. You have CCP/Team Effort at 23. Using CARTs totals, I get 30 if I only include the top two drivers.
I am confused. |

Bourdais didn't have 27 points. He came in 3rd which is 25, and gained a point for pole but lost it for losing a position on the grid. So he has 25.
Charlies Angels Racing is definitely wrong though; they had 60 pilot points. But no points for all on the podium or top 5 -- Jourdain was neither one. |

Team CCP/Team Effort has 35 points. I gave Jourdain, Haberfeld's points and Wilson only his Hard Charger points! AAUGH!
I will check all my figures and put up a revised listing tomorrow night. |

ONE RACE = ONE WIN and TWO PODIUMS!
Maple City Racing, in co-operation with sponsors ZigZag and Budweiser, held what will go down in history as "The Ultimate Victory Party" after our sensational showing at LB. (Tied for) 2 - Wrexxx Racin - 65 (Tied for) 16 (or 7) Maple City Racing - 60 MC Racing has 61 points, and there's no way that Wrex is gonna beat us this year. Sorry to further bug you, Liz... 32 - Paul Tracy 27 - Sebastien Bourdais +2 - Michel Jourdain, Jr. Wrex cheated. I'll prove it before the end of the season.
