European division 1 rallycross
One of things that have made cars in europe a lot "meaner" is the fact that most now have cooling cut outs in the back of the car for the fans. The picture shows Eklunds Saab for example. Well smart!

And here is a picture of one of the best ever operations in the history of European Rallycross: Team Yokohoma Europe. Works Hyundai team with ex Swedish rallydriver - 26 year old Per Johansson.

The modifications to most European cars was designed in conjunction with this minor rule change for the 2003 season:
3.12 Water radiator: Its location is free, provided that it does not encroach upon the driver's compartment. The air intake and outlet of the radiator through the bodywork may have, as a maximum, the same surface as the radiator. Air ducts may pass through the cockpit. The floor must not be modified for the passage of air ducts. This article completes the article 2.9 for Division 1 only. |

Have to say I am not to keen on that, just makes it look like someone has forgotten something, or not put the bonnet pins down.
Not sure manufacturers would be too keen on seeing their cars driven round with bits missing off them, but I guess the drivers and teams have thought of that |

Hansens has been done a different way - it looks more professional: (a couple of mesh cut outs with narrow grilling)
