That would be very interesting to see if the ACO blocked that if Audi were not represented full season in the WEC. Similar in a way to Walkenhorst having to run a Ferrari, as they couldn't be bothered to go through the BoP process for a single race with the old M8.

We also have the IMSA nominated drivers with the Akin and Trueman awards: Kurtz in LMP2Am and Iribe in GT3 with McLaren.

'Pure RXcing meanwhile will share a garage with the Herberth Racing squad, whose Porsche was yet to arrive as this article went to press, the #91 squad have already acquired two entries for the 2024 Le Mans 24 Hours (one via success in GT World Challenge Europe, the other as a full-season WEC entrant with Manthey) and will, under a separate licence, attempt to secure a third via the Asian Le Mans Series!'

May be you can have a look on Endurance info website, the unofficial list has been issued. AutoHebdo sau the limit is 37 cars and not 40 as expected. This puts Audi and Merc out. https://www.autohebdo.fr/actualites/...-chiffres.html

I think they mean the manufacturer. So if there's no Audi in WEC, there's no Audi at Le Mans. But we may get additional Porsches, Ferraris, Lexus etc.

Most of the additional cars for LM will be the LMP2 class.

I haven’t been paying attention as much as I should be…

I thought they were getting rid of the LMP2 class??? Is that just in WEC? Are LMP2 still allowed at Le Mans? Is this the last year of LMP2 at Le Mans? Or am I totally confused about everything?

Yes, LMP2 will still be at Le Mans. I don't know if the plan is to continue with that. Personally, I hope so.
