In the land of NASCAR? Not hardly.... SCCA ProRally's totally minor league (I think our national championship rates about equal on prestige with Angola's!), and they're off anyway all the way from January 25th to May 2nd, then again until June 7th.

The Pro in ProRally is blatantly false advertising, there are maybe 3 driving teams who get paid to drive in the series, and two drive for Subaru. Nearly everyone's self-funded, so it's really just an overgrown club series. Which wouldn't even be so bad in itself if the class rules made sense (don't comform to FIA regs), or there was a single driver from North America who didn't look like a rank amateur against the likes of Mark Lovell. I can't begrudge Mark for that, though... Y'know, good for him and the other Brits in the series.

We have some kind of rallying going on in Quebec, or perhaps it's last season's races being re-run. But everything seems to have been scheduled by idiots this year -- the next ALMS race is in JULY!

Yeah, they took away our same-day coverage because they said there's "no audience at that hour of the night" -- and they thought the NASCAR people would watch a 2-hour "Racing for Dummies" program five days after the rally was over.

Just try covering it on your website with no chance to actually see it!

Admittedly... From 6 am today to 6 am yesterday, said channel is showing 6 hours of infomercials, 11 and a half hours of NASCAR, 3 hours of auto enthusiast programs, one hour of boat racing, and 4 hours of World Rally... Still re-showing the 2-hour Turkey round coverage. So there's at the very most 3 hours worth watching on a 24-hour channel, since FOX took over and turned it into Speed Channel, aka NASCAR TV.
