Deny it now Dawkins

Despite announcing his retirement - at the tender age of 21 - last season, it appears that the current Star of the Midlands Class B Champion has not in fact retired and probably never intended to.
Despite many posts on here, gossip from those in the know, emails and phone calls, he continued to deny his imminent return to the tracks in 2005.
But now the cat is out of the bag. See the latest news - posted tonight - on the 'bible website' of all things FF1600. www.clubff1600.co.uk

I went to 'Sponsorship Opportunities', but couldn't work out how to offer him sponsorship, so I've changed my mind. Ah well, an opportunity lost.

yep its hard for me to deny it now Diz Had to make sure we had everything in place, theres nothing worse than saying you are going to buy or test a new ray and then say you are keeping your 90! lol.

Of course the thread hasn't escaped the standard Miller angle!

RMR - we'll see mate, depends on a few thingies the mo.

Diz - it should be all updated and complete by early next week with the sponsorship part finnished and test details added as a news item. If you wish to donate any cake then you can always pm me! and im not 21 until next month

Bullseye!

Beautiful chassis stands still here, awaiting cheque.

Are you still running your bent engine? LOFL.

Everypicture on clubff1600.co.uk shows different logos on the car. Seems a change of primary sponsor must have occured about 9.15 am.

Go on tell the tale - I reckons a Vee would make quite short work of a FF in a shunt...

it made short work of the barrier! and then they towed it away! I couldnt believe it after the speed it went in!! turns out a Vee cant go through the esses as fast as a Ray!

Looked like some Karter kid, green and white race suit. no idea who it was though, I think the car was black or dark blue.

Basically I went down teh back straight at Mallory (second lap out of pits in a brand new car so taking it very easy) look in the mirrors and hes drafting me! started to brake for the esses (as in traditional) and he just swerved from behind me (because he was an inch from my gearbox and prob couldn't see corner coming!) clipped my rear wheel and went straight into the tyres! looked like a big hit!

They towed him in and his suspension was fine, but it had broken the gearbox casing by the looks of it, had also mangled the exhaust. looked like his first/last test.
