For the vast majority of ten tenthers it seems, Rfactor mod porn is finally here.

The Virtua LM mid 80's mod that has been 8 yeras in the making has finally been released.

It is very good, the soudns are simply staggering. very well put together.

So, you all know the likely places to find it, so off you go.

In fact might aswell include it on the LM thread! But what the hell

Weird

The only issue I had was the mirror I tried (now that most of them have been put out of business by game and film crackers) wold only let me use a modern browser! Probably a slap- against Microsoft as you could anything else but IE!

I do not have any issues running it. So ight be a problem with your PC or something

That is an add on for Enduracers, so please be aware it's nothing to do with their mod.

Hope the guys got permission to use the Endiracers mod to do this

I do not think the mod is set up to use Real feel,

The cars are intentionally designed apparently to be a little unstable in a straight line on high speed tracks!

Some of them feel great. But no issues with FFB here, just use the RF FFB and then set up your strength to what you prefer in the settings for each car

OK I'm in, but I can't use any of the 956's - I get the same texture errors with all of them.

And yes, straight-line stability is definitely an issue!

It's not stability thats the problem. It feels like my FFB is off. As in turned off.

Or maybe you need a driver update or something for the wheel?

Yeah, I'm with you. I'm still using my antique (but lovely) Momo Force - no driver updates there for years..... Everything now works fine, apart from those three texture errors on the 956s - which seems to be a common issue. I keep being told 'use the 4Gb patch' - which I have been for ages - or 'do a fresh install' - seriously??? I have about 20 mods on RF1, I'm not going through the pain of reinstalling all of them.... Mind you, I probably only need about 3 of them!

By the way, it's been suggested that I go back from DX9 to DX7. But I'm not sure how to do that........?

This is a bloody hard mod to drive.

Am currnetly trying to get my head round Sebring, what a damned aaawful place to drive high boost cars like this!

Was driving that Sehcar thing, my word. My best time round there in anything is around 2.08, there were blokes doing 2 flat yesterday!

I think in my old age I am getting slower than ever, unless they were on qually tyresw!

I would not believe any of that tripe Ayes.

When you first boot up it asks you for a config, its such an old program now that on most PC's you can run quality DX9.

Ah, yes, I remember that - there's a separate exe for it. I'll see what that does..... I have DX10, IIRC.

You were on the money mate| When I checked the config.exe it was running DX7! Now I'm using DX9, I see 956s!! Yippee!

After a couple of days and also some time spent on the VLM server it appears there might be some cars that are realy made to be almost impossible to drive! Some of the Rondeau's,. the 930 and 934 Porsches, some of the lesser C1 and C2 cars.

Apparnetly this is deliberate, I would prefer them to just be slower rather than amde horrid to drive, but this is their idea not mine!!
