MK to outsource parts from Penske (Elkhart Lake grapevine)
Heard on the ALMS paddock in Elkhart Lake: MK Racing, the new chassis constructor set by Michael Kranefuss and Ken Anderson that has been appointed - besides Dallara and G-Force - a car supplier by the IRL, is rumoured to be in negotiations with Penske Engineering towards the formation of a "technical joint venture".
The gossip goes that MK would outsource most of the construction of the car from Penske's shop, and some design works too. |

This has been rumored for awhile. I don't understand why TG just didn't approve Penske as a supplier. He had to know that MK was linked to Penske...

Just subscribing to what SevenGrain added: although Michael Kranefuss and Roger Penske fought for opposite fields in some moments of their careers, they do have a great deal of respect for each other and, to a certain extent, did quite some developments together (including swapping engineers that they did not have openings to fill in at the time within the their respective operations, but were believed to be "professionals with great potential").
