Kanaan will drive at Indy
official word is that Kanaan will be out for 3 weeks recovering from surgery to the fracture in his left arm. he also has a laceration and bruising to his leg. he probably won't be at his best but looks like he will drive at Indy on May 25.

On a road circuit you can play silly buggers like Dixon and Kanaan were doing, the circuit by nature is flat and the occassional touch isnt likely to be fatal... to do it on an oval is spectacular to watch but way way too dangerous

They were obviously enjoying their manoeuvres, giving themselves as much of a thrill as the crowd was getting....
It didnt work out, and both are suffering the consequences... lets hope they are both physically able to qualify & race at Indy |

I am interested... Kanaan is likely to be a top 3 contender for the IRL series this season, to have him go out because of an untimely accident is not good, to risk his participation at the biggest race in the IRL calendar because of it is actually big news.
To me any way... and thankfully Jenna keeps us in the loop, as none of the traditional motorsport news sources give much info on IRL, it is appreciated! |

I reckon Scott's head is on straight ( I don't believe that accident was all his fault) but I've got my doubts about Kanaan given the way he has driven in the past |

Kanaan didn't look like he was getting around very well on TV yesterday (at testing)....I'd wait and see whether or not he'll be up to it in 3 weeks....

He is still hopeful of qualifying and driving in the 500. Says the wrist is healing well. (all this via a radio interview with his Mum)
