He didn’t finish but still went for Lando.

Oscar Piastri. Unfortunately he got caught out in qualifying by track limits and started 7th. He certainly benefited from the Norris/Verstappen incident but had got himself up to 4th just as it ensued.

Gotta be Hulk for me. Brilliant result for Haas. Piastri a very close second for making the most of a poor qualifying.
Lando was great taking it to Max but he was getting a penalty for track limits and was brought back into play due to Max's slow pitstop. |

Could have given it to Lando or oscar but George just took advantage and gets his first win of the year so he gets my vote

Went for Lando, but in truth there were some great performances from several others, who were in effect outperforming their cars.

I went for Oscar because of his overtakes around the outside.
Difficult to do and very brave but he pulled them off. |

Piastri.Great passes on Perez,Hamilton and Sainz. How expensive was that grid penalty?
Closely followed by Hulkenberg.Thats what you call maximising a result. |

I'm giving it to Piastri for an amazing recovery from a harsh grid penalty, including a great move round the outside of Sainz for 2nd

Russell for being quick, consistent, not damaging his car, not colliding with other competitors, keeping it within track limits during qualy and for actually winning the race.
Hats off to Sainz and Hulkenburg too. |

Wow! A vote for Danny. I love the man but driver of the race?
Perhaps a bit of national jingoism there. |

It can’t be Piastri when he lost the race to someone in a slower car without any bad luck.
I thought Hulkenberg was most impressive for beating Perez on merit, but could have gone with Russell. |

Nico Hulkenberg scored an excellent result, even getting a Haas in front of a Red Bull. What that says about Nico or Checo I leave to others to decide.
Obviously I could have gone for George and I would have if he had been closer to the two in front at the time of the collision. It was great to see him take the win, but.... I gave my vote to Lando. Okay, he was a bit flakey on track limits and he did make the most of a dodgy Red Bull pitstop but he was fast enough to get Max rattled and bring back the dirty-Max of old. |
