King Carl Fogarty will make his return to World Superbike next year with factory supported Ducati WSB bikes as a team owner. He confirmed with the media that everything is in place except riders for the team to happen next year.
Good news for WSB fans and especially Foggy's loyal fans in England. |

I wonder whether Carl will use this for homegrown talent? Or maybe for his protege Ruben Xaus?

How will the Brit fan feel if their local talent is passed over for others. Will Carl feel obliged to take rider like Hodgson or those like him over someone he thinks may do a better job?

I think that, Carl being the serious professional he is, he would probably choose a foreigner if it meant his team would have more chance of winning.
He has said something along the lines of he wants to carry on where he left off, winning in Superbikes, and I don't think he'd jeopardise this just for patriotism. He'd be more likely to pick Xaus, as he has nurtured him and supported him over the years. Maybe the works Ducati might want to place Ruben in another Ducati team next year, and Foggy's should have top machinery. |

Foggy would choose whoever he could get that can win. Foggy doesn't like losing, and I don't think he will view the teams' results any different to when he was racing himself.

You Aussies think you are so damn great. OK Doohan was damn good, but who is the winningest WSB rider, a Brit Tar very much.
He will go with Xaus and someone like Bostrom or Bayliss, one of the proven winners. OK so Corser did a double, maybe you are right. |

You just can't argue with greatness. The last British 500cc Champ (Mr Sheene) is even an Australian now.

I also think Foggy is a full pro so he will go for the best rider he can contract,it won't be Corser i'm afraid.Although he seem to be the best at the moment, maybe if Foggy paid him enough Corser will think about it.
If Foggy is in need of a good rider! I'm available!!! |
