Silverstone Classic!

OK, there was always gonna be a thread, so I'll start it.

Didn't saturday night present some opportunities!

Hope you all had a good time, let's see your stuff!

I have a few up (mainly groups b and c, and the saturday evening race) up at www.flickr.com/jymp

Look forward to seeing your stuff

CLIP-Motorsport should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Great days racing, I was flaking out by 5ish so called it a day then as Brands Hatch beckoned the next day, pity I was looking forward to the night stuff. A big thank you for all those who helped organise it especialy the marshals, I don't how you guys lasted all day in that heat.
Good work minimangler, all your shots are of such a high standard, you are a very talented photographer.
Here's my efforts for the day-http://www.flickr.com/photos/clipmot...t/collections/

I've now got around 150 sorted, but there'll be more to come, address as before.

Nice stuff, CLIP, some good collections I know from looking earlier.

But now Flickr's having a mardy at me (just me) so I'll have to wait to see your Classic stuff

It's taken me 2 days to go through mine. It was a terrific event - it's always nice when the race runs into sunset or darkness - it's the only time you really get interesting light. Hope you like them...

Some great shots, what's the story with the 'belly dancer' ?, that has to the most unusual picture in the pit lane I have ever seen!

It was late on Saturday night and was just on my way back to the tent when I was greeted by that scene at the back of one of the garages - they were having a loud party and had illuminated her with their quad bike and transit headlights.

I was really knackered but thought it was worth digging the camera out of the bag just once more

There were a few photographers at the David Leslie Memorial on the Thursday evening of the Classic, does anybody know who they were and if any of them are ''tenthers''? I know Jeff Bloxham was one of them before anyone says.

I finally have all 213 (!) good ones processed and posted at www.flickr.com/jymp

Once you're there, if you don't want to browse the lot, head to "motorsport and automotive" on the right, and the set's in there.

I'll look at yours as soon as my computer stops arsing me about over viewing flickr images

Thanks Piglet - glad you liked them. Jake you've got some nice ones there too - particularly the rally shots. I didn't think the rally stage was going to work very well for photos with all it's broken tarmac, plastic tape and railings - I was worried it would look like boy racers in a supermarket car park - you proved me very wrong there.

Thanks Stefan, I was really impressed by Slowly Sideways, they did a great job.

Your photos from the event, though, blow mine away (bugger).

So much more atmosphere. My jaw is currently ascending back to my skull as we speak!

That Stefan is annoyingly good, isn't he.
But then, have you noticed his day job?
