Team of the race- United States Grand Prix
Who is it for you?
For me, McLaren for Button getting high up with a good recovery drive (he's having to recover too often though) and for Hamilton pushing Vettel for the win and taking it with what's probably an inferior car. Ferrari get the award for their Machiavellian ways. |

Ferrari for removing the tranny seal and reshuffling the start. Talk about using all the angles.

I would have given it to Marussia if they stayed in front of even one of the Caterham's
Ferrari for being Ferrari and bending the spirit of the rules |

McLaren for their superb result. They also did some really fast and smooth pitstops.

I gave this to McLaren, partially for having a good car that carried strong performances for both drivers, and for the good pits including Lewis's 2.4, but I was tempted to give it to Ferrari for the devious move to promote Alonso to the clean side of the grid.

McLaren. Ferrari did well and I don't blame them one jot for the gearbox business, but McLaren seemed 'on it' more to me.

Ferrari.
Got the maximum team result possible, with Alonso hanging in there for the title, by using common sense. |

McLaren for me. Devious sneaky moves aside, Ferrari are a close second - both teams did rather better than they could have, given JB's quali position and the "gearbox switch" that shifted Massa down the grid.

McLaren obviously had a very quick car here, particularly in race trim. Great pit stops and kept their drivers well informed. Good stuff.

McLaren are still ahead, but it's close. The wind-up merchants may have their day.

Ferrari.
A bold, contraversial decision, but the right one. |

What they did this weekend fell within the letter of the rules so they had no reason to hide it. When Fernando-was-faster-than-Massa, they vehemently denied what was patently obvious to anyone with one eye and half a brain. |

Still a lot of teams would have hidden it. McLaren almost certainly would have, and probably Red Bull.
