Hi All
Usually when i'm marshalling at Brands I get their by getting the train to Longfield from London and riding from there on my bicycle. Unfortunatly this Sunday there are no trains which will get me to the circuit in time for sign on . Could I be cheeky and ask a favor of a marshal who is coming from North/East London way and ask for a lift to and from Brands. I will offer any petrol/beer money/biccies needed. PM me if anyone could help me out. Cheers in advance. Rob |

nothing to Swanley?
I could do a pick up as late as 0815 Sunday (assuming 0800-0900 sign on) if nobody else can help |

Ta, just waiting for it to arrive 'fishally - It seems I was a victim of the website that sometimes loses details.
My rule of thumb at Brands Fridays,Saturdays & Mondays7 -8, Sundays 8-9 There was no worry of me being there at 8 anyway, since I'm only 5 minutes away I tend to arrive in the last 15 minutes (used to be seconds - but I try to be a wee bit more responsible now) |

Hi
Bodysnatcher and Hellblade, thanks for the replys. I think I have worked it out. I can get a 07.34 train from Cannon Street to Dartford and then I can cycle from Dartford station to Brands. Might cut it fine for breakfast though. If after sign on you see a slightly sweaty chubby guy collapsed on the floor next to a bicycle, that will be me. Cheers Rob |

Calloforion
will make sure rescue have the O2 standing by. If you're that hardcore a cyclist is Sevenoaks any closer? See the trains still run to there via Orpington. OK, checked it out, much further. the train you are planning to get, (Dartford 0819) if you change at Dartford, you can get on one to Swanscombe (arr 0836) giving you a 7 mile cycle as opposed to 7.5 still cutting it damn fine for 0900 sign on Last edited by Bodysnatcher; 12 Oct 2011 at 19:17. Looking forward to my first time out for 2 months. Started packing warm clothing only to hear that we've got another heat wave forecast for the weekend; my warm stuff will stay packed though!

I heard something about a heatwave on the radio this morning... however these guys are normally quite reliable http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?a...=~DA38NG;sess= and that doesn't look too warm to me!

I used to go to the Festival for years before one of my own sons won the 1600 Kent support race, he had hoped to compete in the main event but lacked one signature on his National B License!
But the following year won the main event from pole, which he still considers to be his best achievement. I took great pride in having all the previous winners from 1970 to his year engraved around the base of the Trophy. The Formula Ford Festival is a proper race, with heats, semi finals and a Grand Final...but most of all none of those silly wings! Proper racing cars, that do proper racing, on a proper race track! Long may it flourish and entertain us! |

Some great racing this weekend.
Had an excellent time on post 24 as well. Thanks to all especially to Katie who had to put up with me and my bad jokes all day. |

Hi All,
From the BRSCC SE Centre I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for good man/ ladying levels over the 2 days. I know its not the old festival but the 3 finals certainly were entertaining. Some good marshalling and from what I saw some really good flagging. Also who booked the good weather. Stars to that person. Well done to assembly for getting things turnround really quickly allowing for an early finish I do beleive and of course to the rescue unit for all of there hard work( I am contractually obliged to say that!!!) The last incident between post 6 and 7 the driver was ok. Car though, that was a different case. So a good weekend thanks to all for being flexable as well at sign on. This helped speed it through. Thanks again for everyone involved with the meeting including drivers, teams and speccies and Brands Hatch(MSV) Regards, Richard Sneader BRSCC SE Chief Incident Officer |

Yeah it was a brilliant meeting, was on post nine both days and had a great time, had a slightly shell shocked ford fiesta (new model) driver after a tap and crunch moment during their final race.

a big cheer to the team on P6 for a great weekend - a lot of fun and lots to do
I hope to see the two people who were on a taster day on Saturday again soon - a pleasure to have their company and to see their enthusiasm and desire (and willingness) to be involved. Keep safe folks Dave |

An excellent weekend in the sunshine with motor racing, what more could I ask. Great time on Post 22 - pleasantly but unusually quiet I must say.
