If CART isn't coming back for 2004 does that mean the fencing around Brands Hatch wil be gone?

I dont think its a definite no show yet but the news is they'll sacrifice the European races and cut the schedule down to a 16 race one..retaining the Milwaukee Mile as the only oval on the schedule

I can only see it coming down if CART is confirmed as a no show. After all, CART paid for it to be there so if there is a chance of a return visit it will have to stay.

There is a thread in the Champ Car forum, may I suggest this is merged with that one?

I hate to say it - but I would be very glad CART aren't coming back next year if it meant the fence could come down. I had a nightmare at 4 on Saturday - couldn't see posts 3 & 5 at the same time and nearly garotted myself on the cable twice!
