JEB has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
PMC CHRIS MUDGE TROPHY - 29th APRIL

If any of you would like to race in the PMC/BRDC FF1600 race at Silverstone on April 29th you would be most welcome.
Currently the entry is very low, and both the PMC and BRDC are keen to see more entries for obvious reasons.

I appreciate it is a busy weekend for some of you, but If you can make it - late entries are being accepted by the PMC.

If you require an entry form, I can send you one. Please email me at:
James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk

The Peterborough Motor Club have a long tradition of running a meeting at Silverstone, and I hope that FF1600 can help them to sustain this event in the future.

Thanks for your support.

James

What are the numbers like James?

I would have thought that there must be enough FF1600's not racing that weekend to fill a Silverstone grid with ease.

IT's Silverstone!......Come on!........

Mr. Sowman - Do you need a photographer for this event? I have one standing by who lives in Silverstone village.

DWA should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Both myself & Peter May are due to attend as far as I am aware.

Just recieved the final instructions this morning.
Post marked 21st April (Yesterday)

Only 5 no. listed.

No.2 Lee Chatburn Class B
No.28 Oliver Radford Class B
No.53 Richard Misters Class B
No.78 Mark Edwards Class C
No.82 John Whitbourn Class A

Who else has signed up to attend?

Anyone know the ruling on the minimum allowed to call it a race?

If there are only 5 entered then I would have thought that the only sensible thing would be to call it off and refund the entry fees to the five.

I really don't want that to happen - Its a couple of months till my next race and I love racing on the National circuit at Silverstone.

Let's hope it improves. I wonder if it might be combined with Mono 1600 if the worst came to the worst.

As the slot has been bought and paid for, I'm not sure that would bring much benefit.

I would be up for 2 mixed races - Utilising both slots. 1st race could be a frreebie then trophy race for the FF1600's at the scheduled time. The first race would be useful for setting up the cars.

Useful track time, given that there is no testing the day before.

What do you think JEB?

Another thought,..... with more track time filling the grid more for both races - perhaps this wouild encourage more drivers to sign up for the CMMT.?

I have had numerous calls over the last couple of days and we should see an increased entry by Monday/Tuesday if everyone enters who have told me they are going to. Let's see.

James does that mean we can have more garages?

Only two (3 & 4) for us at the moment?

I think JEB has more important things to be doing like increasing the grid size...!

If there are only 5 cars entered then you should have plenty of room.

The Peterborough Motor Club allocate space - I (with my BRDC hat on) am involved in trying to obtain a grid for them and helping with the on the day logistics. I am sure more garages can be made available if required.

I've put in an entry now (having confirmed that the race will definitely go ahead as FF1600 only).

Having not been in any racing car since the wet WHT, using a nice borrowed car and with no testing ... please be gentle with me!

As soon as I have the list, I will publish on the BRDC web site, via this thread, and obviously via Ian/Matt on FF1600.co.uk

It is not too late to enter - remember, if you race in this event, you receive a discount from your WHT entry.
