East Fortune

OK East Fortune is a real place 20 minutes drive East of Edinburgh.

It's a WW2 airfield that is now split into a combination of Museum, Farmland, Farmers/Flea Market, Microlite airstrip, and Scottish Championship Motorbike Circuit.

For this design however I've taken the whole thing, as a usable area and converted it into a 4 layout Motorsports complex.

There are 2 racing layouts and 2 test layouts though these could be raced on if a series wished.

Firstly the overall layout, which is made up only of taxiways and Runways. The pitlane is the only new tarmac. The ungainly looking chicane is at the junction of 2 runways so has more space than first appears.

The second image shows the 4 different layouts.

First of all, do you have a map or aerial of the airfield this circuit is based upon?

Second, if not so, what is the total length of the layouts?

Unfortunately this area isn't covered in High Res by Google Earth/Gmaps.

Here is an overexposed version (to see the taxiways clearer) of the image on which it's based from local.live.com

That's no matter, I can see and relate your layouts to the real thing very clearly and the result is a classic British-style airfield circuit. Good work.
