Thanks Oulton Marshals - 28th March
Two secent sized grids of NW Formula Fords and not a red flag to be seen. Thanks to all the "Heroes" out there - without whom there would be no racing. You are appreciated.
I hope we entertained you. Ian Smith NW FF1600 Regional Representative. |

Thanks must go to our FF Friends too! (No I don't have a stammer!)
We got No8 (can't remember which class/race) at Knickerbrook with a duffed engine I think - apart from that it seemed a successful day at the office for most! A good day all round I think - the VSR's were a little disappointing IMO but the FF's and Caterhams more than made up for that! |

Our thanks also go to Steve Moore, No75 in FF class D who very generously donated some beer to the marshals at Old Hall after pushing his car from there all the way up to the top of pit lane. There was no need to do that - we are only doing our jobs, but it was very nice indeed.
Some good racing, almost all of it clean and a great way to start the season off. Thanks to all the drivers involved. |

Every time I'm at Old Hall I end up pushing a couple of dead FFs back up pit lane. Why do they always have to be in Garage 3 & why do the pit lane marshals just stand & watch? |

Cheers lads, a great days racing by all concerned.
Both classes of Formula Ford were brilliant as ever and the Caterham's were very entertaining through the Knickerbrook Chicane. The VSR's where very entertaining in practice, as most of them went through the cones (Hats of to you guys they never hit any) at very impressive speeds instead of going round the actual chicane. |

Pit marshals

We were all so stunned at seeing circuit marshals in the pit lane that none of us could move. Pitbull was on startline so he wouldnt have seen you guys working so hard. As for beer, oxygen might have been more a appropriate donation to have made. You all looked like you needed it by the time you got to garage 3. |

Thanks to all concerned - a great way to start the season. Quote of the day for me, from the Caterham driver who came straight in at Cascades in practice - 'That's what comes from going out on cold brains!'

Beer and oxygen - aren't they both as important as each other?!!! Next time you're so shocked we'll instruct the driver to alter his direction, then you'll move no matter how shocked you are!!!!
