Anyone know any web sites and forums for shifter karts? I've checked on several search engines, and can't find a thing. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know whether this is what you mean, but I've seen Karts at Oulton Park called gearbox karts, which may be the same thing as shifter karts - if that's what you're looking for try http://www.karting.co.uk/

Thank you very much, Marcus. I will certainly try to get some pics of my kart for you. I'm waiting on getting the safety kit that I need to start racing: suit, gloves, shoes, etc.

Here's some more altough they are superkarts, just think of them as a fast gearbox (shifter) kart
http://users.cyberzane.net/rforker/ http:/superkarts.org.au/ and these have a few links to others. A superkart is a shifter kart but is normally only raced on long cicuits, normal gearbox karts run both short and long circuit and run moto x engines, where as superkarts run road race bike engines TZ yamaha,RS Honda,or the Rotax 256,twin cylinder engines "This is the most frightening thing i've ever had to do" David Coultard after test driving Martin HInes superkart in 1994 0-100kph in 3.5 sec,top speeds about 240-250kph and best of all mine is just about finised. |
