RaceTime, do you have any idea why all four SBR drivers have been named in both cars? I'd have thought that they'd know what combination was driving what car.

Only that it allows changes to be made right up to the Wed before the race.

But if you look at the combinations and the way they have been entered, it suggests that Ambrose and Ingall will not be in the same car...

I shouldnt be too concerned, Marcos and Rusty will still be sharing the same car.

The cleverness here may have been tyrebank, if one car has a better one than the other, there is no reason a number switch could not happen

And the final driver line-up, as far as i know, doesn't need to be confirmed until friday arvo. HRT, Perkins, Orrcon and Kmart all did the same thing.

TBA alongside Morris as well.

Its funny how different lists differ, The one I have officially is the same as Race Time Posted here which is as far as I know as correct as it canbe.

But in the 2003 v8 bathurst magazine (put out as special edition of MRA by Chevron). It has not got car 55, 59, 69 or 89 it also has the smiths trucks entry listed only once as 72 BUT it does list 88 as 3m/scotts transport Peter Gazzard /TBA.

Go Figure and today I was told that Geoff Full has a drive but with who ???

I was also told that Greg Crick is supposed to have a drive

Can anyone confirm either.

The one I posted (and doubtless the one you have) is the AVESCO issued list as of last week (they issued two Konica entry lists within 24 hours of each other as well).

In reality - as we discussed before, whilst anyone can speculate, at this point in time, the only list oyu can really go by is the one issued by the organisers and/or promoters.

The other alternative is to wait until around 5pm un the Sunday afternoon.

Geoff Full was lined up to codrive Kevin Mundy's Actron Air Falcon which was withdrawn today due to lack of funds.

I had heard that Greg Crick was to have had a gig at FPR, but they went and announced the pairing not including him, you might be onto something with the #88 car but not sure if it will actually appear in the main race....

I was thinking Crick might be joing Robbie Jones in 69 to try and get a good result like Bob Jones snr and Cricky some years ago.

That seat is available, as is the one alongside Jamie Miller or indeed Christian D'Agostin or Jose Fernandez, but a budgetary contribution seems to be required in each case...

Even more stupidly those at Chevron have really confused the uninitiated in the latest issue of MRA, first they screwed up the Bathurst edition of same then the regular bi monthly edition comes in the mail today.
They have wait for it ............ Marshal and Ritter Driving BOTH the 16 Holden AND 19 Ford ......and we thought TBA was going to be busy. Also they have Christian Dagostin to join Brede in 46 Hmmmm Possible but I thought tony ricciardello had that one .......then they have completely forgotten Car 65 from betta Electrical...... Still has the Mundy car but that only fell over this week after the mag was publlished....... Sheesh Ill stick with the version Race Time Posted.

So when's the official Great Race programme going to be on the shelves?

Always has been misleading having the Bathurst magazine out before it- for a while there they had words on the cover to the effect that this is not the official programme for the race. I collect the programmes and would like my collection to stay intact.

This is what the sub regs say in regards to changing driver linups.

2.3.4 Any Team seeking to vary the nominated drivers making up their final crew for the Race must advise the Secretary of the Meeting in writing no later than 1200 (noon) on Saturday 11 October; and the variation sought must subsequently be approved by the Stewards.

2.3.2 Both drivers designated to form a Car’s final driving crew must, in any practice or qualifying session on or before Friday 11 October, have achieved a best lap time no more than 107% of the fastest time achieved in the Qualifying Upper 50% or Qualifying Lower 50% sessions.

Does qualifying session extend to any laps made in the Konicas as well??

Doing the maths...
2.08s fastest qualifying time equates to 2.16.96
2.07s fastest qualifying time equates to 2.15.89
2.06s fastest qualifying time equates to 2.14.82

Just in from the House of Speedy is that Brett Peters has pressing business commitments and is unable to make the Bathurst 1000 race alongside our hero David Thexton.

In a late deal, Steven Voight has been chosen as his replacement, and will run the Speedy-owned ex-Waldock EB/EF/EL in the Konica race on the Saturday as well to get match practice.

It is yet to be confirmed whether Peters will still lease his AU to Speedy for the Konica race, or whether he will run it himself... oops he is on business commitments isnt he

It seems there are some more movements in the field as well.

Wayne Wakefield is now taking his place along side Andy McElrea in the PMM prepared #24 Romano Racing VX.

Alan Gurr will start along side Christian D'Agostin in the #72 Smiths Trucks entry

#55 Jose Fernandez has had every man and his dog ring up for a drive, very few that can contribute to the budget however, so that codrive remains unconfirmed.

#59 Jamie Miller seems in the same situation as Fernandez

#69 Robert Jones has a shortlist but nobody confirmed yet

So all you race drivers out there with a C5 and looking for a run come Bathurst weekend, you still have a shot, let your fingers do the walking
